Ancient Roman and commercial port, now City of Art and History, Narbonne emerges from its past some little forgotten. She gets up to date with cafes and terraces along the Canal de la Robine, listed by Unesco.

The city center is marked by monumental towers and ramparts of an impressive episcopal ensemble that served as a model at the Palais des Papes in Avignon.
